Size & Shape

There are already countless air purifiers in this world. They range differently in size from the smallest ones being the size of a phone, up to the biggest ones being a hundred meter tall. This air purifier project, inspired by the smog free project's public air purifiers, also had the intentions to make this air purifier one for the public use and for the betterment of air quality everywhere, not just in homes. On the other hand, different from the smog free project, the CAFA air purifiers come in way smaller sizes, with our goal of having our air purifier versatile. Not only will having the small air purifiers make it easier to carry around with you, but also will this air purifier enable people generally to have it more easily installed in homes.

The CAFA air purifier, being able to both be used through installation in public areas or homes, and while being carried around is able to allow anyone in the need of air purifier to use it in any way.

With time running out and Earth's air quality worsening day by day, we decided not to spend much time on the design of our product. The only requirements we set for our design team was that the air purifier had to be able to be easily installed, and also had to have be within the grip of a normal person. This is where we chose to design our air purifier like a phone, as everyone is used to and can easily do things such as grabbing a phone or carrying around a phone.
